Blogging to Answer Questions

The number one easiest way to find topics to write about?

Use the questions your clients, customers or leads ask you and turn them into the content!

Answering questions through video content, social content, and (my personal favorite) website articles is fine for your marketing strategy. Your users get the answers they need easily and (bounce) google loves it!

How do we know Google loves this format?

  1. They answer questions in their search results.

  2. A recent update made it so if you click on a site, Google highlights the answer on that page.

  3. They give sites with FAQ schema on the SERP.

  4. They have user experience baked into the algorithm - what's a better experience for a user than finding a quick answer.

Sometimes customer inquiries run dry, but you can’t stop blogging (or shouldn’t.) Here is a list of my favorite

tools and techniques for generating free content ideas

  1. Answer the Public

  2. Social conversations (scour Reddit, quora, and other related industry forums)

  3. SEMRush (although you’ll get limited information with the free subscription)

  4. Google the topic and look at the questions they are answering

  5. Competitor content

PS - Google also loves pages that have more than 250 words. This post is 100% breaking that rule. I guess I’m testing a theory with this blog.
